Hello,
I've started using Flare v12 a couple months ago to recreate a website and it's contents.
I'm starting to get the hang of it and i'm making headway both with the work, and knowledge of the program.
Along the way i'm wondering about some things which i'm not sure are possible, or if so, where to find more information about them so I'm asking here.
- Most importantly: I'm using a lot of cross references to link to the content of a (default closed) dropdown hotspot. If i preview and follow the link the preview shows the correct pages, but all dropdown texts/hotspots are converted into standard text. Does this also work like this in published content, and if so, how do i work around this and/or check it.
-In addition to this: the link seems to generate a title of the topic, not of the bookmark/heading which I link to (a dropdown), whi is this and how can i correct/prevent this
- I use the link viewer for Images and topic to check for both broken links and where pieces of content are used. It also seems to work for individual Snippets, but is there a features where all my uses of different snippets are listed?
- I've created several tables, in which i copy paste content, which are styled in the default table style (which i want to use over standard paragraphs style). However, as soon as i try to edit the content, the style changes to paragraph with no seeming way to keep the style. Is this avoidable or am i gonna have to change all my content to paragraph style?
- I'm using a lot of Toggler's/Dropdown texts in my topics, is there a way to set the default closed/open status of those dropdowns when someone navigates to the specific topic (on a topic level and/or specific Dropdown level)?
- I'm copy+pasting a lot and I sometimes want to use special paste, but find the feature troublesome. I first have to paste my content, and then click the pop-up icon for specific options. Is there a way to get this menu before pasting?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Bookmarks, Dropdowns, table styles, snippets etc.
Lot of questions for one post. I'll see what I can do...
a) Cross-references and formatting: Depends on the output, but in general it's a matter of setting your CSS to produce what you want.
b) That's what it does. Really, it's a good thing. There are other threads on the topic.
c) Reports. You can create one just for that purpose.
d) CSS again. Also, keep an eye on what you're creating using the text window. You have total control. If you press <enter> while in a table cell, you're going to get a new paragraph. But, you can create a custom style for paragraphs within your table cells.
e) Default toggle open/closed: I recall seeing this question in another thread, although your request sounds more complicated. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15196&p=122557&hili ... rop#p82666
f) No, but when you click that pop-up icon, the last item in the menu is "set default". Choose the option you use most often.
