One chapter using Roman Numerals

Post by gicalgary »

Hi

Anyone have this happen to them?

I have a 20 chapter project, outputting for PDF. all chapters are set exactly the same, using the same master page and stylesheet. However, in the TOC on the output the first chapter has Roman Numerals for page numbers instead of decimal numbers. the rest of the TOC is perfectly fine.

I'm using Flare 2017.. is there a bug I don't know about?

I suspect that the TOC item for that chapter topic has the page numbering set to roman. On the TOC, open that TOC item's properties. On the Printed Output tab, how is the Page Number set?

Hi,

The entire TOC is set to decimal. That is the first thing I checked.

I suggest you open the TOC file in a text editor and see if you can spot anything out of the ordinary.

BTW You say that you are using the same "master page". I suppose you meant to say page layout as master pages are not for PDF output.
