The spacing of the drop down icon in the Preview window is fine. When published, it isn't. I would appreciate some help. The attachment displays the XML Editor, Text Editor, Preview and Published views of the same text.

Re: Horizontal spacing of drop down icon issue
Hi,
I have a question for you:
Why is there a <p class="dropdownNOindent"> needed?
I use dropdowns throughout complete documents and never have to add a line of code like that.
If you remove it, does that help?
Greetings,
René Severens

Re: Horizontal spacing of drop down icon issue
Good eyes!
Well, previously, I had a standard <P> tag. But since my <P> tag had a Box > Margin: > 1.12em 0, I thought that the text might be adding a margin between itself and the icon. So I created a no indent version in hopes that it would make a difference. It did not.
I went back to the <p> tag and found it made no difference. After hours of scrolling through other threads for a solution, and testing various options, I've come up dry.
I welcome any insights, but I have no more time to invest in this issue.

Re: Horizontal spacing of drop down icon issue
As Rene mentioned, you need to remove (delete) the p tag completely.gsm1 wrote:I went back to the <p> tag and found it made no difference.
That paragraph tag is in the wrong place - you should only have a paragraph inside the drop down body.
Re: Horizontal spacing of drop down icon issue
]I greatly appreciate the input. However, testing indicates that simply removing the p tags entirely from the dropdown head made no difference.
I also tried adding the p tags to the bullets in the dropdown body. Again, there was no difference in the spacing of the icons as regards their distance from the dropdown head text.
I welcome any additional suggestions. I should add that I see the same sort of issue with my expanding text elements and am including an attachment demonstrating this, too.
The odd thing is - I think - that I never have this issue with the icons associated with glossary item insertions. They always look just fine.
