Footnote Editor Runs Very Slow

Hidy:

When editing footnote frames on Page Layouts, i.e. *.flpgl files, the editor runs very slowly. (The footnote editor is accessed by opening a page layout file, selecting a footnote frame and pressing F2).

I have a single row, three column table in the footnote frame to keep things lined up. The text is minimal, no graphics, only one variable and not much else.

Why so slow?
