Image map not working properly

Hi Everyone,
I have experienced a serious issue with image maps ..

I added a large number of image maps over a screen shot with some callout labels on.
Each map is over a square label and is pointing to the correct destination.

When I look at HTML5 output in Chrome each square label appears to have half of one destination map on it and half of another.
End result - image map going to wrong place, despite being correct when created in Flare.

Any thoughts or solutions please?
This is a pretty basic bit of functionality which I would expect to work.

Is the image being resized in the output for any reason?

I have now solved this.
In the image map within Flare some of the areas drawn onto the picture where overlapping. This caused the resulting output to malfunction.
Once the image map areas were restored to a non overlapping discrete state the hyperlinked areas of the images worked fine.
So the lesson learned is that when you have a complex diagram with hotspots it's especially important to check that hotspot areas don't overlap.

Good thread! I had this issue and was getting frustrated - the problem wasn't due to overlap, although I thought perhaps the tool was just buggy in that repect or perhaps didn't work well with edits to the map. but what was really going on was the issue that DevJoe asked about - my image was resized with an image tag and that messed things up badly. Once I removed the tag and resized as required for my output in Snagit, everything was good!

Thanks,

It's great to hear my advice helped somebody, even if it took 7 years :-)
