11>2017 Upgrade Toolbar Buttons lost in Output - Tripane

Hi all,

I have been building my guide in Flare 11 with Tripane output, and I am really liking it (coming from Doc2Help). Today I upgraded to Flare 2017. I made no changes to the project from 11 and have opened it in 2017 with seemingly no issues. First thing I did was build the target to check the output, and that's when i noticed the toolbar buttons missing.

Print, Exapnd All, Highlights are all gone.

Any help in the right direction would be appreciated. It's been a steep learning curve for me to go from D2H to Flare 11 in the last month, and this little bump in the road is just another learning curve I need to take, but I just don't know where to start.

Hi Adsy,

I did not upgrade projects from Flare 11 to Flare 17 directly, but I know how much effort it is to move from DocToHelp to Flare.
Here are my suggestions:
check that your target uses your tripane skin explicitly
and
check that your skin still has all buttons you want selected in Toolbar section of the HTML 5 Skin Editor.

Did you try rebuilding the project? My toolbar is missing in about 1 out of every 10 builds. I've never found the cause or been able to reproduce it consistently - just seems to happen at random.

Thanks for responses so far. I have rebuilt my target multiple times with no change, the buttons are definitely not there.

I am also definitely using the HTML5 - Tripane skin. Component Default Skins for Topic Toolbar is set to default, there's no other options from the drop down. Pressing Edit does nothing.

Any help is appreciated. I can see in the HTML the buttons are not there, so something is set wrong.

I figured this out. I noticed that I had some javascript in the toolbar page which I added to try to move the search bar to the left of the window rather than leave it where it is on the far right, which is a weird place for it to be.
