Track changes removes spaced from an edited doc

I couldn't find any other reference to this weird quirk, so let me list it here.

We use Track Changes when we peer-edit each other's Flare docs. When I edit a co-worker's Flare doc and commit those edited files (we use SVN for source control), any spaces that I might have added in my edits are REMOVED. So the writer has to do extra cleanup in the text instead of simply Accepting or Rejecting a Change.

It doesn't seem to happen all the time, but just enough to be annoying.
