Positioning the logo in a skin
Positioning the logo in a skin
Hello. A client asked that we move the position of the logo in the skin so that when help is generated, the logo will appear flush left. The default position of the logo in compiled help is, oh, say, three-quarters of an inch from the left side. I looked in the Logo section of the Styles tab in the skin, and positioning of the logo doesn't appear to be an option. Does anybody know a way to move the logo?

Re: Positioning the logo in a skin
You can set the margin (or negative margin if needed) in the stylesheet. Assuming you're using the TopNav skin, the CSS selector for the logo is:
So you could add something like this right to your stylesheet:
or whatever the margin left value needs to be. Give that a try.
Code: Select all
.tab-bar-section a.logoSo you could add something like this right to your stylesheet:
Code: Select all
.tab-bar-section a.logo {
margin-left: -50px;

Thanks for the tip. But we're using an HTML skin, not top level, so this didn't work. Any suggestions?

There's no setting for the logo position in the HTML5 Tripane skin.
The logo looks like it has a hard-coded margin:
If you really need to change this, then I'd suggest adding your own 'skin stylesheet', as described in my blog post here:
