2017 r2 broke hyperlinking!
2017 r2 broke hyperlinking!
Just installed 2017 r2 and now can't navigate to a file in the project to hyperlink to it - can't open folders! Anyone else seeing this?

Same for me too.
I tried to insert a cross-reference, and I found that I couldn't initially see any of the topics.
I selected the Topic Files (*.htm...) filter at the top, and then I could then see the topics. Topic files was already selected, but re-selecting it seemed to fix the issue permanently (I can't get it to revert back).
That's pretty bad though - really unimpressed with bugs in 2017r2 so far.

Yes, I am seeing this also.
Based on Dave's summary in another thread (viewtopic.php?f=13&t=28996), I think I'm going to have to uninstall this release and go back to the last one

As I mentioned, re-selecting Topic Files in the filter fixed it for me, so try that first.LeslieT wrote:Yes, I am seeing this also.

Yes, this resolves the problem. Somehow they did not carry over the remembered file type properly, and so no files show.Dave Lee wrote:As I mentioned, re-selecting Topic Files in the filter fixed it for me, so try that first.LeslieT wrote:Yes, I am seeing this also.

You'll need to reselect the file type for both the hyperlink and cross-reference dialogs.

I just experienced this problem when inserting a cross-reference and also found that re-selecting Topic Files in the filter fixed it.

Yeah, I noticed if you use v12 and 2017r2, then fixing it in 2017r2 breaks it for v12. The same fix works in v12, but then it breaks 2017r2 again!techwriter31 wrote:I just experienced this problem when inserting a cross-reference and also found that re-selecting Topic Files in the filter fixed it.
So it seems to be a shared setting across different versions of Flare.
