Hi
I set up a new table style (eg Supplies) - it has 3 columns defined and a header row.
I gave names to my columns (eg PN, Description, Quantity) in the style settings.
How do I make these names appear as the actual column headings in the table (automatically, when I select this table style)?
Thank you in advance.
Joanna

Open the Table Properties for the table and be sure to set the number of header rows to 1. (The default is 0.) You should then see your predefined column labels.

Hi
That's what I thought, but the header row appears empty - I still have to enter the heading titles manually each time.
See image attached, from top to bottom:
1. table style editor
2. topic
3. table properties
4. pdf output

Re: Table Headings Pre-defined in Table Style
Ah, I see. Those labels won't be the *content* of the header row's cells. Rather, those are the names of those column styles.
(I'm going on memory here, so forgive me if I led you down the proverbial path.)
I suggest that you create a snippet that holds a placeholder version of your styled table for which you've entered the column headers. You can then insert that snippet where you want to have a table, convert it to text, and then continue populating the table.
