Steps to Publish to Git

I've gone through MadCap's content on Git, but I still don't see anything on setting up publishing to Git. Has anyone published to a Git repository? I've been using Git for my version control, and it has worked well, but I'd like to use it for a publishing destination. Any ideas? Can anyone walk me through the process?

Have you tried cloning the repo on your hard drive and setting that folder as your publish destination? Once you have published your content, you need to add, commit and push to the remote repository. You can use a utility such as Tortoise Git to to perform the Add, Commit and Push thus syncing your content with the remote repository.

Hi Dee,
Isn't the "Push to remote" setting is supposed to accomplish the push to the remote repo?
It acts like it's going to, but then complains about files not being checked out. That happens even when I have them all checked out.
