Compiler (Internal Error): Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.
Aborted

I am getting the above error and not really sure what else to do. Please see the attached screenshot.
Compiler error 1.png
Note, the error occurs when processing help_index.htm.

1.I have removed the two snippets the topic is made of, separate times and still get the error.
2. I have renamed the topic and the error still occurs.
3. I remove the link to the topic from the TOC and the error still occurs.
4. I have removed all output files.
5. I created a brand new TOC with a single topic.
6. I removed the master stylesheet.

This is Flare 9.12. No updates available.

Any other ideas? This is a very large project.

THanks
Pam

Any ideas anyone? Any other threads or workarounds you have found to help?

Try a new target. That worked with an issue I had yesterday.

Hi Pam,
Not experienced this myself, thankfully.
Maybe you might find something in this thread:

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions.

In this project I have a lot of targets. I have compiled all PDF targets without issue. I have 2 targets which are webhelp. It is these two that come back with the object error. So it is something to do specifically with the help type of target. Just thought I would add this info. Maybe it will spur a thought....
