Hi. I've recently been tasked with taking my A-series printable deliverables and duplicating them in letter/half letter formats. I'm trying to create a single content frame size that works for both A and letter. So far I've mostly been successful, but I'm having trouble understanding how the bottom page margin works in Flare. At the moment it's set to 457 mm (18 inches) but it's definately neither 457 mm from the top of the page, nor is it 457 mm from the bottom of the page. What's it actually measuring from? This feels like such a stupid question!
I did try just changing the frame size, but it won't stick if I don't adjust the margins - most complicated.
Margins and frame sizes in page layouts
Re: Margins and frame sizes in page layouts
Hi Liz_G,
My understanding is that it is measuring from the bottom of the "available" page (i.e. after padding is also taken into account). Are you also taking the padding into account? If that doesn't solve it, could it be something to do with which anchor options you have chosen?

Re: Margins and frame sizes in page layouts
As far as I can see, there's no padding set, and I'm using the default anchor options, although the bottom one seems set very large as well - these are things I just didn't change from the default options in the first place, although it has made me think, so I'll go and have another look at that.
Re: Margins and frame sizes in page layouts
Yes that was it, for some reason the margin was set at 18 inches from the top of the page, but the anchor was set at -17-odd inches to balance it out. I have no idea why, I'm sure I started with the default page layout!
