Identifying icons/tags in XML editor?

Is there a legend?

For no apparent reason, a tag (an eye with a cross) has appeared in several places in my documents. I haven't turned anything on or off and haven't changed anything. The output seems fine, but they are annoying me and I need to know what they mean :)

I can't find a list of icons anywhere. Help?

I see those icons on elements on which I've set a style that includes "display: none".

Thanks, jjw. I've looked and there are no display tags. I have a table and a span style both with defined classes that work as expected.

I've been using these pages for months and no icons have displayed - suddenly they are everywhere. (I've not toggled any view settings that I didn't have before.) Nothing seems broken in the output. I just really want to know what these are. Puzzling! :)

I suspect that the above is correct and the style sheet (*.css) has the display: none property set for whatever class the tag with the icon is using. Does anybody else have the ability to edit the style sheet?

Note: This could also be set via inline formatting, but the style sheet seems the most likely.

Oh I see! I was looking inline only.

When I look at the style sheet itself, there is nothing in the display for these styles (that is, it's blank, not "none" or "block", etc.) Hmmm.... Okay then. I will go and investigate this further.

Thank you both very much for your insight!
