How can I change Flare's title bar itself (not in output)?

Hi

I work on several versions of the same project simultaneously. Each version's project file name is the same. When I have them open in Flare, it is hard to know which window contains which version.

Is there a way I can change the title bar while working in Flare (not in the output)? I need just a temporary UI adjustment for my own purposes while working.

For example, instead of each Flare windows saying "MyProject," I would like to have each window's title bar say "MyProject Version 1.0" and MyProject Version 2.0".... I can manually change this each time I work, or, even better, if I could have field in the project settings for "Title bar text" so I wouldn't have to redefine the title bars each session, that would be great!

Thanks
Marta

Hi,

I guess this is not possible with the same project file name, but maybe you can set a different theme for the other instance of the Flare interface.
Under Options (Menu file - right-bottom corner, next to Exit) select Interface and at theme select Silver for once instance and black for the other instance of Flare running.

Another option could be to define a different (background) color for some element used everywhere, for example have each title (heading 1) shown in a different color in one of the versions, as long as the files are being edited, and change that back to the final color before publishing.

Greetings,

Hi there,

I'd recommend logging a feature request with MadCap. What you're requesting would be really useful, and it would be super easy for MadCap to implement.
