Zip Project file is just Content folder?
Zip Project file is just Content folder?
I've been good and backed up my project files regularly, and I now I need to restore the master TOC from backup. When I open my zipped project files it only restores a Content folder. Why isn't the Project folder there?

Did you make your zip folder from inside Flare, by choosing Project > Zip Project?
If you did then I would expect you to recover everything needed for the project.
I have been doing it with every version of Flare from 6 onwards and when I unzip I get back:
Analyzer (if any), Content, Output and Project folders and their contents, along with the .flprj file
The only downside of recovering things this way seems to be that all of the extracted files look like they were created on the day you extracted them.
Something is behaving oddly if you only get the Content folder.

Flare's Zip Project doesn't zip the Analyzer or Output folders - just the Content and Project folders.
If you want to double-check what's in the file, most zip file apps can view the contents of the flprjzip file.
Use Flare to unzip/open the flprjzip file though.

Re: Zip Project file is just Content folder?
Yes I used Flare's Zip Project feature. And when I unzipped the contents it's just the Content folder. I tried it twice with two different project zips from two different weeks. I don't seem to have a zip viewer that will just let me look at what's in the zip without unpacking it, which takes forever. I'll see if I can find one so I can see if the Project folder is there and just not unpacking, or if it's not there at all.
Re: Zip Project file is just Content folder?
Update. I used 7 Zip to view the project zip file and I do see the Project folder, so it's an issue with the unpacking not the zipping. Thinking it might be related to low disk space on my local drive. When I get more space I'll try unpacking again and either prove or disprove my theory.

You'll need to zip IN Flare and unzip WITH Flare to get it to work properly in my experience.TR Lisa wrote:Update. I did zip and unzip with Flare. But unzipped only gives me the Content folder. Project folder is there because I can see it with zip file viewer. But it's not unzipping/unpacking with Flare.
