Images not displaying full size in Flare xml editor

Post by cayennep »

I have an image that's 600 pixels wide, that displays fine in snagit and everything else.

In Flare's xml editor, it is small and unreadable. There are no sizing tags, and no tags in the stylesheet for images.
Even clicking and 'open link' in Flare, it looks the same - but different than when the image is opened in anything else.

Any thoughts? very mysterious... Even if I'm missing something obvious or doing something dumb, if I can solve this I'm happy!

Thanks for any tips

If it's thumbnail size, you may have the Show All Images As Thumbnails option selected.

I came upon this problem when using a laptop with extremely high resolution. Running Windows 10, for me the issue was fixed by right-clicking on the application flare.exe icon in the install folder, pointing to Properties, then clicking Compatibility.

Click the Change high DPI settings button, and check the settings. Make sure the two options are disabled as shown in attached image. When I first set up my laptop I was messing around with the resolution settings and these were enabled.
Not sure if this will help of not, but it might solve your problem.
