R2018 New Main Menu layout

I just installed R2018 and I am playing with the new Main Menu layout appearing on the left or the right.

My selections on the Skin Setup- Navigation Pane are
Pane Position: Right
Slide-out Menu Style: Tree
Main Menu Position: Left

I have it working pretty well, but the Slide-Out Menu Style setting does not seem to be taking-- the menu always appears as a drill down, and only shows the top menu items.

For example, I have
HeaderA
-SubHeaderA1
-SubHeaderA2
Header B


By default, when the page opens, I see
HeaderA
HeaderB

I can drill into Header A to see and select its children, but as soon as I select a child, the view goes back to the original.

I want the tree to remain expanded so I can see what item is selected and what are its siblings.

Any ideas?

I just tested it, and I see the same thing, even in the preview. I'd log a bug on this one.

I figured it out... have to select the Automatically Synchronize TOC check box in the TOC Options panel at the bottom of the Setup Tab in the Skin.

I let Support know as well, since I logged a case and got the reply "works for me."

That is ....... not intuitive. Thanks for posting what you found out. Sounds like a feature most people won't figure out on their own.
