Oops, simultaneous update from madcap - yes, you can
Have a query out but in case someone here knows - Can I have two versions/instances of Flare installed?
I seem to recall you can now do this, but want to verify to make sure I don't overwrite my production instance (want to switch and start fresh with new css when there's a 'break' but rather not do it now).
Thanks for any tips
does latest install overwrite the old one?

Re: does latest install overwrite the old one?
Flare 2016 and Flare 2017 variants all were contained in a "Flare 13" folder on your system, so you couldn't have multiple versions installed at the same time.
However, Flare 2018 is installed in a "Flare 14" folder on your system. This allows you to have Flare 2018 and a version of 2016-2017 on your system at the same time.
Additionally, if you have Flare 12 or older, you can install those simultaneously as well, since they are stored in version-specific folders on the system.
