Roman numeral page count

Oh help. I have a TOC that is returning numbers as Page i of 8 rather than Page i of VIII

Here are my settings. What am I doing amiss?

I tried to do this and encountered the same problem.

Have you seen this working correctly on a previous occasion? If not, I suspect it is a bug and we should report it.
