Importing Word files always creates a new stylesheet
When I import content from a Word file, whatever options I select in the import file, it always creates a new stylesheet in my project. For example, if my stylesheet is called stylesheet.css, the import creates one called stylesheet_1.css and links all of the new files to it. This is a problem as the stylesheet is linked from a global project and we don't want people using their own local stylesheets. Is there a way to avoid this or do we need to just clean up the files?

Firstly, welcome to the forums, I'm sure you'll find them very helpful, though not so much for your first question.
This is the designed behaviour, so you need to do some tidying up after import, and after importing Word I find there's usually a lot more tidying up than just this one that needs to be done! That's not because Flare is being scrappy, but because Word doesn't use HTML/XML like every other package does, so it adds loads of unnecessary rubbish to your imported topics (such as inline stuff in lists, which is what I find most annoying).

Thanks for your answer ChoccieMuffin. Word is definitely unique! That's one of the reasons for the move to Flare.
Hopefully importing from Word will not happen very often once we're properly up and running, and we will just have to train the users to tidy their output afterwards.

If you're new to Flare, you could get some useful stuff from the webinars, which you'll find here:Suzanne_Dialog wrote:Thanks for your answer ChoccieMuffin. Word is definitely unique! That's one of the reasons for the move to Flare.

If I find myself with a spare hour any time, I often have a look to see what I can find.
There's also this guide, you'll find the first section the most useful: http://docs.madcapsoftware.com/flare201 ... tGuide.pdf
Good luck, and ask if you get stuck on things - Flare isn't the easiest tool in the world to use, because it's such a powerful beast. But you'll soon grow to love it.
