Micro content and punctuation phrases

I wondered whether I could create a micro content phrase that was just a punctuation character. Experimented with a "+".

Nope. "Build failed". Oh well. It was worth a try. Still hoping for a day when those of us writing an API can have search results that find the page of operators.

When you generate your output, the phrase that you use becomes the file name of the resulting micro content file in the output. I believe that if you have punctuation in your micro content source file it is stripped out of the file name in the resulting output. So what Flare basically tried to do was generate a file with no filename, which is why it failed.

What I haven't tried is giving an alternate first phrase (which will become the file name in the output) and using the punctuation, (like the plus sign) as a secondary phrase. You might attempt that to see if it will work like you want. I can't guarantee anything, but it is worth a shot.

Compiles, but the search won't act on it. Punctuation characters in the search field will either cause an error or be ignored.

yeah. Flare search and punctuation are not really compatible. That has been a long-standing issue.
