We manage the documentation for a data system. In our query language, there is a method called where(). It is used to filter a table to any argument to the where() statement. e.g.,using where(AAPL) in a query would result in the table showing only content that contained the string AAPL.
The documentation for using the where method exists on a madcap topic page. The metatag description for that page uses the word where several times. I also added a separate metatag keywords with several variations of the where method. where is used in a H2 heading on the page. where is referenced many times on this page, and many other pages as well. where is also included in the glossary. Finally, I've added where and filter as synonyms.
Despite all that, if I enter the word where into the search field, I get ZERO results. Are there any "magic words" that just don't resonate in the search engine? HELP!
P.S. we are using "Madcap Search"
Searching for the string "where" - Is it a magic word???

The word "where" is a stop word. This Flare help topic explains how to include stop words in searches: https://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare20 ... -Words.htm

RETIRED, but still fond of all the Flare friends I've made. See you around now and then!

Nita,
Thanks so much for the info and the pointer.
I followed the link, which directs me to look for a check box for "Include stop-words in search box" in Proj Org > Target > Search > Search Results. There is no checkbox for that option. See screenshot.
I also tried the next option for solving this problem, which involves editing the Language Skin file, presumably found in Proj Org > Advanced. It also did not exist.
Then, after reading the entire page, I opened the Note section and found this: "NOTE: Stop words are not customizable in HTML5 outputs." Does that mean I am doomed by stopwords? We ONLY use HTML5 output.
Thank you again,
Randy
