Can you tell us what output you're creating, so we can give you some pointers. I'm guessing it'll be the masterpage that you need to edit.

It's an HTML 5 to be viewed on a web browser. I tried removing the footer block from the page layout but it didn't work.

Masterpages and page layouts are different things. Page layouts are only relevant for printed outputs, so you need to look at your masterpage. Give that a go and let us know if that works for you.

For what I mentioned in my previous post, I selected Master Page Layout from the Project -> Primary Files area in 2017 r3. Do you know where I would go to access what you are referring to?

By the sound of it you're a very new Flare user, so I suggest you take a look at some of these resources:

https://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare20 ... asterpages
https://www.madcapsoftware.com/webinars ... essential/

The first is a link to the 2019r2 help page on masterpages, the second is a link to a webinar. The help is pretty thorough, and there are loads of webinars available.

This looks much more complicated than I was expecting. Is there a simple way to handle this without adding a Masterpage to my project? I tried to add one and it made little sense. And yes you are correct, I've been managing content/topic in Flare for years but never learned a lot of the plumbing built into Flare. We recently built a new manual in 2017 r3 coming from 2010 which may be why I did not have this issue in the past.

Your project will already have a master page, you just need to find it.

Your target will probably be linked to a default master page; check your target's Advanced settings to see if it has a Master Page, and click Edit.
