Odd problem with TOC

I was working as usual and added a new topic to my project. Generated the build (it's for an old-fashioned CHM, if that matters) and nearly had a heart attack when I saw that my TOC was gone! The only entry was the new topic I had created. Quickly figured out how to look at the properties for the project and saw this:

The new topic I added today had somehow become an option in the Master TOC dropdown. The problem is easy enough to fix, but I am nervous about not knowing how or why this happened. Any thoughts?

Sounds very odd - what version of Flare are you using?

I'm on Flare 2019r2, a version dated 10/4/2019. I checked and it is the newest release.

Did you somehow manage to create a TOC rather than just the topic? Do you have a TOC with that title in your TOCs folder? I would raise a bug with Madcap, that sounds decidedly dodgy!
