Hi guys,
I'm using a much older version of Flare than I am used to (a client's version - Flare 11) and I don't know if this is the reason or I'm just missing something...
When I build a PDF, I'm getting the PDF I want - plus two of the images it contains (just 2 - and there are hundreds) in the Output folder. When I've had this happen before, it's been because the image is at the top level because of the stupid way I imported them ... but these are all in the right place as far as I can tell (ie within the Content folder - and are actually in the default Resources\Images folder).
What causes this?
Thanks for any hints/tips in advance...
Alison

Re: Images in output folder
Could it be that those images are actually linked to in a topic somewhere but linking to a copy of the image in a different project? If that's the case you'll need to search in your topics for <img src=".. as this will find a place where the image isn't inside the project (the .. indicates that it's looking elsewhere in your folder structure on your drive.) Might be worth a look, and won't take long to do even if it turns out not to be the problem. Obviously once you've found it, replace the "external" image with a link to an image inside your project.
Started as a newbie with Flare 6.1, now using Flare 2024r2.

Re: Images in output folder
Having done a bit of scouring of the source code (I find it easier to spot stuff that way), I *think* I know what it might be. Just about to test... there are a lot of images on that page, all conditionally tagged. For some reason, two of those for this particular product are tagged for that product and also have link TO the same image.
I think the idea is that when you click the image, you get a larger version in a browser...although actually, you don't as it's smaller initially, you have to zoom, and it doesn't really get any bigger.
Obviously this is a non-starter for PDF output, but it's still kindly exporting the image when building as it's referenced.
I've seen elsewhere in the same project (I'm only providing maternity leave cover so am loathe to change too much) a nice 'magnifying glass' for the online output, and I'm going to try to replicate that, if I can work out how it's been done. I also probably need to tag the link to the larger image as "online only". That is going to be my first test...
I will also investigate your other suggestion, as I know there is sometimes a bit of copy/paste to get information originally created for release notes into the main documentation...
Thanks again...
