Getting wrong XREF format for selected media

Hi all,
I am a junior Flare user and was quite satisfied with how I was doing so far, being able to find my way around whenever something did not work out as I expected. This was until I met this new and probably basic problem...
I defined different XREF properties in my stylesheet for 3 different media. Let's call these media:
In my topics, the XREF are shown in the Smaller_PDF format even if the Medium is set to Normal_PDF in the XML editor and even if update cross-references from the Tools ribbon. I also noticed that the preview shown in the Edit Cross-Reference window uses the Smaller_PDF properties. It sure looks like Flare ignores my Normal medium! But why?
The XREFS used to preview and build fine when I set the target to use Normal_PDF, but that was before I created the Smaller_PDF medium. I don't recall changing anything else besides specifying the medium in my target (which was previously set to default). Should I have?
Any ideas on what I am missing?
Thanks!
