Table Row Separator Issue

Post by GDonn »

I'm having issues with my table row, and occasionally column separators changing to a different weight. I created a new table just to see if I could find out what's going on and this one is giving me a thicker row separator every five rows. I'm not seeing anything active for repeat (that appears to be only for an image and that's grayed out.

What is in the table style definition? Is there in Rows section a pattern or repeat of 5 rows?
If it is happening with a completely new table, I suspect there is something in the table style that is causing the extra separator.

Cheers,

No, there's no repeat for separators. I've looked through all of the available parameters and see nothing that would cause this. The image is from a new table style I made from scratch. I have others that display a heavier separator seemingly randomly where I've seen a heavy bottom row separator on some cells but not others even in the same row. The result seems to be occurring randomly.

If it was a random thing and not so regular (every 5 rows) I'd have said it was just a display issue in the editor. Does the same occur in your final output? I've seen what appear to be heavier row separators when editing a page but upon output they have not been present. And sometimes vice versa. To minimise appearance issues, edit the page at 100% zoom level and make sure there's no windows scaling on the display.

As Rob says, try viewing with standard screen resolution and no scaling.

Does it only do this in Flare? What does your output look like? If it is only in the XML editor can you live with it? Living with it if it is scaling related and doesn't affect output might be an acceptable compromise.
