Using a different skin for certain topins in a project
Using a different skin for certain topins in a project
I'm generating HTML5 Help for an application using the TopNav skin. There are some topics within the project for which we would like to use a diffetent skin. Is this possible, and, if so, how?
Re: Using a different skin for certain topins in a project
Yes - but it depends on how you expect it to work.
First, you need to set the target to Generate all skins.
See: https://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare20 ... -Skins.htm
After that you have a few options:
(1) You can set up links to the topic and choose the skin name like this: MyTopic.htm?skinName=YourSkinName
That will switch the help to use that skin, and the help will continue to use that skin when you navigate away from the topic.
This works in regular hyperlink, but you can't use it in the TOC.
(2) In the CSH Alias file, you can associate a skin to an ID, so when you make a CSH call with that ID the topic is displayed using the associated skin.

That displays the topic in its associated skin, but the skin will revert back to default when you navigate away from the topic.

Just as it says. Create a regular link to the topic, and add the skin name (e.g. 'YourSkinName') to the end of the href: ?skinName=YourSkinNameAJoy wrote:How do I do this?Dave Lee wrote:Yes - but it depends on how you expect it to work.
