How do you deal with updating ONLY new content in HTML5?

Post by ChoccieMuffin »

A question for my future, but would be good to know when planning.

I am producing HTML5 outputs and have been asked if we need to update the entire site every time we publish new content, or can we JUST update things that have changed? Also, is there a way to highlight things that have changed? Interested to learn how you deal with frequent releases of small bits that fit into a bigger deliverable.

Thanks

You can publish only changed files - open the Destination, then select Upload only changed files.

As for highlighting - if you mean highlighting changes in the topic content for end users, then there's nothing automatic, so you'd need to handle that manually.

Thanks Dave, that's really helpful as always.

We don't do building and publishing like that but I think I may need to investigate further so we can use that bit of functionality.
