Logo in header not updating

I have to use a new logo file in my HTML output. I am using the TopNav option.
I have changed it in the skin but it is still displaying the old logo in the preview and the generated output.
If I right-click the logo in the html output and select inspect, the right file name is shown.
I wondered if there is a default value somewhere that I also need to update.
Any help would be gratefully received.

FYI: I inherited this setup and there are quite a few areas where I don't understand how things have been done.

Are you sure the correct skin is being used in the Target > Skin settings? Sure you've edited the correct skin?

Perhaps also try a hard refresh of the page in the browser, which will clear the cache for the page. (Ctrl + Refresh icon)
