Flare 2023 R2 doesn't seem to be replacing reserved characters

I just upgraded this morning to Flare 2023 R2 and immediately kicked off a build of our doc site only to see that it returned hundreds of 404 errors because the URLs no longer included underscores, whereas they did an hour before, when I built our doc site right before upgrading. I confirmed this behavior with the rest of my team.

Has anyone else encountered this, and do you know of a workaround? (We've already submitted a ticket to Flare, but I wanted to get as much info as I could.)

Thanks for pointing this out and opening a ticket. Yes, we have just upgraded and this is happening for us in our Tripane HTML5 output.

Example:

before upgrade: https://....url/installing_the_jade_database_utility.htm

after upgrade: https://...url/installing%20the%20jade%20database%20utility.htm

Our work around is to go back to 2023.

Turns out, Flare had provided my manager with a patch containing DLL that "fixed an issue where replace reserved characters with underscores does not work." We applied it and re-built our doc sites, and we are all good. So, this is resolved. But thanks for the swift reply!

Yeah all my URLs have changed from underscores to %20 for spaces in filenames. I'm getting user reports for broken links every day.
