Embedded multimedia - Opening Flare topic takes a very long time

Hi,
We use some topics that contain a lot of embedded multimedia, which are all external links to Vimeo videos.
Those topics are a library of video material, and can offer over 50 inserted embedded multimedia links in a single Flare topic.
When opening such a topic, it takes a very long time to load the page (over 30 seconds).
Also after saving, it takes a long time.
During the loading process, the topic UI (or Text Editor) freezes, and there's nothing more we can do than wait until opened or saved.
Any ideas, are there ways of solving this performance issue?
We originally came from using image thumbnails that linked to the Vimeo URLs, but it's nice to have an embedded video player inside a topic, with its (Vimeo) functionalities (expand, cast, picture-in-picture, etc).
In the HTML5 output, it works fine (we also use lazy loading there).
It's just Flare that has performance issues loading such a page.
