"Associated with Content" Error in Adobe Acrobat

Post by achuribooks »

Hello, everyone!

Relative Flare newbie still, but I've got an ADA compliance issue I'm stuck on. For each image in a topic, I have alt text and a screen tip, but when exporting to PDF and running an accessibility check, I am getting the alternate text "Associated with content" error (https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/c ... tNoContent), meaning that Adobe is recognizing that there is alt text in the output but cannot connect it with the images.

Alt text is coming through fine for HTML5. PDF tagging is enabled on the PDF target, and everything else works perfectly. Scouring the Internet and old MadCap forum posts, it looks like this was an issue in older versions of Flare, but I can't tell if anyone ever found a workaround.

This is the last piece I'm stuck on, and I'm about to pull my hair out! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RESOLVED! For anyone who gets this error in the future, check the "display" property of your img selector on the stylesheet. Had the value set to "block" and it messed everything up. Took out the display line, and everything is groovy now. Hopefully this post and my stupidity spares someone else.
