Searching the text editor while in split screen mode

When running XML and Text editors in split screen, the search function (Ctrl-F) in the text editor does not find anything contained in tags. It's as though it's searching the XML editor. Is there any way around this?

Hi
I reported this over 2 years ago and Flare support acknowledged the issue, but it still hasn't been fixed.
The workaround was to not use split screen. The search does work if you don't, but obviously that isn't always ideal.
Cheers
Andrew

This is because Ctrl-F only searches in an xml document's text (not the tags). It's designed as a quick search through the text of a topic.
To search the tags you have to use the Find/Replace function on the Home Tab, search in the current document and turn on "Find in Source Code" in the Options. You can also turn on the main Find/Replace window by clicking the tiny magnifier/filter icon to the right of the quick search text box.
Cheers,
Rob

[Edit]
Ahh ignore my message, though you can use the general search function in split screen mode, and it works. Ctrl-F does work in non-split mode so you're right, it's a bug.

Thanks for the replies. FWIW, I've reported the bug again. Maybe it'll get some attention soon.
