Image quality reduces in word output

Hi,
I have been involving Flare for very nearly 5 years now. I take screenshots with Madcap Capture and use them in Flare topics; however, when I generate word output, the image quality drastically decreases and becomes blurry. I attempted numerous solutions to this problem but was unsuccessful. Other Flare users seem to be experiencing the same issue. Kindly aide me on the best way to settle this issue.

Are you resizing the images via inline or stylesheet styles or are they using their native resolution(s)?

Yes, we are resizing them.

Usually this option can help:
regenerate_scaled_images.png
However, if you still see the same results, I would recommend resizing them yourself to ensure that Flare uses their native resolution.

Thanks for your suggestion. I got better resolutions when the "Generate resized copies of scaled images" option was unchecked.

I echo Alex's suggestion that when producing print-based output, whether PDF or Word, it's best to create your images in the final output size for the page. That way the output engine of Flare doesn't resize anything and you are most in control of the image fidelity. It's also a good practice to not increase the resolution of the image beyond the ability of your user's printers. No sense in creating images that are 600dpi if the document isn't going to be printed to that resolution.
Fixing the size of the image to a print output size can become an issue if you're producing for multiple outputs (online and print, or two different sizes of print document). For images that are greatly affected by resizing (screenshots in particular) you may have to put several versions of an image in your document and condition them in or out for print and online use.
