Hello, first post ever though I've used a ton of the info I've gathered here.
I attach PDF files in flare through hyperlinks. Most of mine will open. But, I have a hand full that will open for me (from the output) and for another co-worker, but they won't open for two other co-workers. They get security notifications. I have looked at the security permissions in adobe (set to no security); I've resaved them and reloaded them into flare. I've looked at MOTW, which I had never heard of, and it is not enabled.
Does anyone have a clue as to why some open and others don't when they are all loaded, attached, and set to the same permissions? Thanks!
PDF references security issue
Re: PDF references security issue
What's the exact message they're getting? That might help us determine what's happening.
I do know one common problem is if you link to a pdf on a network server and the user doesn't have access to that server or to the specific folder.

Re: PDF references security issue
Error message reads:
Your file couldn't be accessed. It may have been moved, edited, or deleted. ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND
We do have a very locked down server. But, I put it on my desktop to pull it over in case the shared drive was the issue. I just can't figure out why 40 or so work and 10 or so don't.
I appreciate any tips.

Working with the flare rep, we determined....
The file names were too long. Weird but fixed! Thanks all
