Global image use (outside the project)

Hello,
At this time I'm busy to create a parent project "8 - Manual_Parent" of which I'm making multiple child's over a couple of months.
The parent is my English source. The child's will be multiple other languages (e.g. German, Dutch, etc.).
At this time I have many images in the folder "Content > Resources > Images" as you can see in attachment "Flare 1".
Within the project I can insert them of course with the function "Insert image" as you can see in attachment "Flare 2".

What I can imagine is that I can insert images from outside the project "8 - Manual_Parent"; see attachment "Flare 2" red box.
E.g. in folder "05 - MadCap"; see attachment "Flare 2" bleu box.

What's the big question now?
Does Flare support moving images to a folder outside the project while keeping the links?
Or will all links be broken.
But if this works, how do I do that?
Big advantage for me: I will have to maintain one folder structure with images used by different (language) projects.

I hope this makes it clear, I'm not that good in English.
Many thanks in advance.

The closest match to what I think you are asking would be External Resources, but I personally would only use this solution for resources maintained by other teams. https://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare20 ... ources.htm

Global Project Linking might be a better option. I think you could maintain all the images in the parent and use the global project linking to import relevant images into the other projects.

I've linked a couple of pages for you, but there are a lot of other really good posts on the forum, so I'd suggest searching and having a look at all the suggestions people have for working with these features.

Hello Psider,
thanks for your quick reply/answer.
I will take a further look, but what you write sounds good.
Thanks a lot
