Inserting Footnotes

Can anybody tell me how to insert footnotes in topics ( including tables) using Flare?

Not too easily, I don't think. There is a write-up at http://www.w3.org/TR/2007/WD-css3-gcpm- ... #footnotes but it would have to be a manual process; I couldn't figure out a way to do it in Flare v3 except to manually enter the code. And it didn't appear to be supported equally in FF and IE6. Although I tried it in a test project where I have a lot of other stuff set up that may have been causing problems. I didn't play with it that extensively, though.

You might want to submit a feature request at http://www.madcapsoftware.com/bugs/submit.aspx. Unless someone else in the forum has another suggestion.

Out of curiosity, why footnotes? Why not pop-up text or something along those lines? If it's a print output issue, there is a setting in targets to convert text pop-ups (or expanding text) to footnotes.
