Flare Help Index not Working

The Help Index in my installation stopped working. The other Help features still work fine. Any ideas?

Have you also tested if your search is working at all?
You may need to register itcc.dll

its easy to do this though...just follow me..
Browse to
C:\Program Files\MadCap Software\MadCap Flare V3\Flare.app\Resources\Bin

Then click RegisterItcc.bat

done.

compile the project and test it.

My compiled Help projects are working. It's the actual Flare Help Index in Flare itself that's not working. Clicking Help > Index in Flare does nothing. However, the Index icon on the Help menu is shaded as though the Index is already visible. Shortcut key combinations except F1 alone also do nothing. Could it be collapsed or off screen somewhere that cannot be seen? And if so, how can I move, restore, or reset it to default presentation?

After fussing with it for a few minutes, I was able to get it to partially display. It seemed to be "stuck" with or behind Help Search. See the attached JPG screen shot. The Search pane was stretchable, but the Index pan was not. If I floated the Index, I could place it elsewhere on screen, but when I docked it back to the left side, it again "piggy backed" onto the Search pane. Only by closing them both was I able to "unstick" Index from Search and it now seems okay. Until next time.

I would recommend that you reset Flare's layout and see if this corrects the issue.
