DotNet Help build shows TOC but empty topics
DotNet Help build shows TOC but empty topics
I asked for a build of DotNet Help. What comes out is merely the list of topics in the TOC, but the content of the topics doesn't appear; the window is merely blank. What did I do wrong? The topics are all visible in the Content viewer, and if I open them from the Content viewer, everything is there.

I'll reply to myself: it turns out that some unknown hand (not me) had created a Master Page that had no details for where to put the content. I changed it to default, and everything works. It would have been nice to have received an "Error" saying "Master Page has no defined place for content", or something like that.

If you have any bugs or feature request you should lodge them here. The standard line is the more that request a feature, the more likely it is to be included. I would hope that for a bug a single report is enough!
One area Madcap does fall down badly is error handling wiothin the software - I'm not sure you'd want an error message, given their normal cryptic efforts.
