Installing Flare 2.5 on Vista

I'm trying to install Flare 2.5 on Vista. The help file says:

Installing Flare 2.5 or later on Microsoft Windows Vista

Full Description:
Flare 2.5 and later officially support running onMicrosoft Windows Vista operating system. To install it, run the Setup.exe installer. The SetupMadCapFlare.msi can be used without the .exe by taking a few extra steps.

Solution:
Download the latest build of Flare 2.x with the Setup.exe and the SetupMadCapFlare.msi
Run the Setup.exe, which will launch the Flare installer.

The SetupMadCapFlare.msi can be used without the Setup.exe by taking the following steps.

In Windows Vista go to User Accounts in the Control Panel
Turn off The User Account Security option
Install Flare Version 2.x

Madcap Software recommends using the Setup.exe to install Flare on Vista.






My problem is that I don't know how to "Download the latest build of Flare 2.x with the Setup.exe and the SetupMadCapFlare.msi". Would someone please be so good as to let me know how to do that.

Just download 2.5 - it should be either in a zip file or a self-extracting zip (I forget which - it's been a while since I've installed the older versions). Either way, it contains the setup and msi files.

I realise that's what I need to do. I just don't know how to "download 2.5". Do you have a URL for the download?

You should have the download link in the email you received with the license key. If you no longer have that email or the link no longer works then contact MadCap support and I am sure they will help you out in no time.
