I need to verify that I understand the logic of using condition tags.
For some reason, I'm not getting them to work like I think they should.
I want a paragraph to show on screen in the WebHelp, but I don't want that paragraph to print in my FrameMaker manual.
So here's what I did:
1. Made a new condition tag set.
2. Used the default tags ScreenOnly and PrintOnly.
3. If I checkmark PrintOnly and apply the condition tag set to the paragraph, the tagged paragraph gets removed from the the onscreen output.
4. If I checkmark ScreenOnly and apply the condition tag set to the paragraph, the tagged paragraph remains in both the onscreen ouput and the Framemaker output.
So #4 is not consistent with what I expect. The paragraph is NOT removed from the FrameMaker output.
What am I doing wrong?

You have to make sure you set the appropriate conditions in your targets on the Conditional Text tab (include print and exclude screen in the print output, and vice versa).

THANK YOU!!!
I can't tell you how much I appreciate that piece of information. I've been working for quite some time to figure this out, without success. I found no mention of this in the online Help under Applying Condition Tags to Content.
