TOC OnClick

Hi,

Ive been trying to get this done but failed for quite a some time....would appreciate if one can tell me how you do it...

The requirement is when ever i click(OnClick(if there is a property as such)) an item/Link from the TOC(webhelp) the color of the link clicked/visited should be changed greyed out.

Looking for the process(Flow in step wise)

but i'm not even close to being a javascript expert to know what a "clicked" link script would look like, so maybe someone else can help.
