Hi,
Can anyone exaplain why the following happens to me?
I have some text that has a style assigned to it. I wish to either remove all styles or apply a different style and when I click the style that I want, or when I click Reset Class, the Style drop down list becomes disabled (greyed out) and it reads "(text)"
Ahh! It's making me mad I tell you.
Thanks
Jesse
Changing style disables style list + displays "text" Why??
Re: Changing style disables style list + displays "text" Why??
Interesting. Right after I posted my prior message I figured something out. If I change styles from the Style Window (F12), everything works fine. If I try to change styles from the Drop-down in Text Format toolbar, my problem arises. I wonder what the difference is. Does anyone know?

I'm assuming you have the style applied to only a portion of the text in the paragraph and not applied to the entire paragraph. If that's the case, then the style was inserted using a span tag. If you left-click somewhere in the paragraph, you'll see a "span" block at the top of the XML Editor (if show blocks is enabled). You can remove the span tag by right-clicking on that "span" block and selecting Unbind. In order to apply a different style to the same text, you need to select the "span" tag so that all of the text (and the opening and closing span tags) is selected and then select the different style in the Styles pane. I think that will work -- I don't have Flare open at the moment.jessemds wrote:I have some text that has a style assigned to it. I wish to either remove all styles or apply a different style ...
AFAIK, the drop-down list and Styles pane behave the same way. I'm not positive, though -- I always use the Styles pane.
