I recently discovered that my application prevents the user from logging off Windows XP when it is running. I have traced the problem back to my use of the MadCap Embedded client. In fact if you run the HelpViewerEmbeddedClientTester application that comes with the MadCap SDK, then try to logoff (or shutdown) Windows XP the user is unable to do so unless the HelpViewerEmbeddedClientTester application is closed first.
Why is this? What can be done about this?
Thanks
Unable to logoff WinXP when using embedded client
