Importing Topic Titles
When I import my FrameMaker project, some Topic Titles (as seen in the Topic Properties dialog) are blank and some are set to the heading of the topic. One result of this behavior shows up in breadcrumbs. It appears that if the Topic Title is blank, the filename is used in the breadcrumb. Since filenames include underlines and are truncated and sometimes include post-fixed numbers, this is pretty ugly. I realize that I can manually add the Topic Title in Flare, but I want the import to automatically set the value of the Topic Title. Any ideas on how this can be done?

Re: Importing Topic Titles
Hi Mark
Make sure all your "new topic" heading styles are mapped to a CSS heading tag (H1, H2, H3 etc), i.e. in your Imports file, Paragraph Styles section. Flare searches for the first heading tag to populate the <title> </title> part in the topic, if there is no heading style found (for example, you use p.Heading3 for a heading) Flare uses the filename for the title, which (as you have found) leads to nasty results in breadcrumbs, and also search results in HTML help.
Hopefully this helps
Cheers

Hi Greg,
That's it! Thanks. The breadcrumbs are looking much better now.

Mark
