Application Closes

I'm new to Mimic but when I began following the QuickStart Guide, I was able to create basic movies easily. Now whenever I select a record method, Mimic simply closes - sort of. The application closes and does not appear in the Task Manager; however, the process continues to run and I have to manually delete it. The only movie I can create is using the Window method, but once I create a movie, I have to close Mimic and retart my computer to create another. I am running Vista Business as the operating system.
Has anyone out there run in to the same, or similar, issues?

I just did a quick test under Vista ultimate and it worked fine.

The Mimic context menu minimises to a strip running down from the top right corner of the screen. Can you see that when you are recording? If not you might have to adjust your monitor settings so that it displays the entire desktop. That's a wild guess, though.

Unfortunately, the issue got bigger because now Mimic just won't open at all; I get a program stoppoed working error. I've triied uninstalling/reinstalling but with no luck. I have had to turn this over to support because I'm dead in the water.
