Mapping FM "See also" lists to Flare "conceptLink"

Post by pdxwordsmith »

Importing FM 7 source to Flare. I have "See also" lists at the ends of topics (tagged with See_Also_Item paragraph tag in Frame). When I import to Flare, I've mapped them to bullet lists/cross-references. I would like to map them to conceptLinks (to get the cool drop-down See Also list), but I can't figure out how to do the mapping. The MadCap|conceptLink style does not appear as an option in the list of Flare Styles in the Frame Import Editor.

Any ideas for me?

Thanks,
Hanna (Flare newbie)

First of all welcome to the forums and Flare!

To answer your question, as far as I know, it is not possible to directly map FrameMaker styles with Alinks (or related topics links, popups, expanding text etc). Going from FrameMaker to Flare you pretty much rule out those flash things you might be able to achive in say WebWorks. Your only option, if the import is one way, is to recreate them using the Flare interface. Dragging and dropping multiple topics from the content explorer into your topic is the easiest way to achive this.

Cheers
Greg
