color of text in nav items

Post by jpeffley »

I have customized the styles for various items in my WebHelp skin but Ican't find where to set the color for the text of the Search, Index, and TOC items, when you hover over them. Right now they display red - and I don't see anywhere this is set.

Hi,

This is basically done in the Skin you are applying for the project;

From the Project Oraganizer, Click on the Skin Folder.
Select the Skin(if you have multiple skins)
In the Styles Tab, locate Index Entry and TOC entry, and format(Font) as required.

Hope your problem solved.

Regards
Chris.

Thanks for trying; unfortunately this doesn't solve the problem. Font for the Index entry item is set to black and there is no hover or selected style for the Index item. The Index entry popup (which I thought might be the one I want) also is already set to black. TOC entry font also is set to black and there is no hover or selected style. I don't see anywhere in the skin or css where the hover/selected font is set for Index or TOC items.

I'd love to hear from someone on this - very frustrated!

You can't change it in the skin, you need to make some changed to one of Flare's files.

For other users, there's a KB article. The files to changes are MadCapIndex.js and MadCapTOC.js . The KB article specifies the info to change.
